The First Step

I suspect that if you are reading this blog you already know me. But if not here is a brief resume of my life: Ten years ago I was born in Kentucky, but ended up in Canada. Now you are probably asking how a ten year old girl like me ended up in Canada. I will tell you how. Four years after I was born my family (my dad, my mom, and my big brother) moved to Idaho where my dad served as a pastor. After my little sister was born, our family felt a call to missions. My parents had gone to a village called Diouloulou in Senegal several times and felt a need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ there. After a few years our family felt that God was calling us to go as missionaries to Africa in that village. We joined up with an organisation, raised support and...came to Canada to learn French before our big move.

Now I guess you are probably wondering why a girl like me is writing a blog. Here is why: I would like to share my adventures with you. I hope to give my friends, family and whoever else comes across this site a picture of what it is like through my eyes. I want to share funny moments, serious adventures and the occasional problem of mine. Join me as I take baby steps of faith into the unknown.

  2. Hello there fellow sojourner,

I'm looking forward to hear of your grand adventure as you sojourn throughout the world. You and your family are so important to me personally, and your witness the the church in America is greatly needed.
I like the picture on blog. It reminds me of Nahum 1:15: "Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace!" (ESV)
May the Lord bless you with boldness to take 'good-news' to the nations. May your feet carry this 'living water' to the spiritually thirsty! I'm glad to have read your first blog. I will look forward, with anticipation, for many more.
Please tell your family "hello" for me.

    Strapping on my Gospel shoes,
    Paul
